Dan Workman Produces Maggie Walters at SugarHill

(HOUSTON, TEXAS) - May 11th, 2006 - Austin singer/songwriter Maggie
Walters
has just completed recording her latest EP at the legendary SugarHill
Recording Studios
with renowned producer Dan Workman (ZZ Top, Destinys
Child, Sarah Sharp). The EP was released in March 2006 coinciding with her SXSW
showcase this year where she performed with Dan Workman and her band.

Although Maggie Walters has only been performing for the past few years,
she has already raked up plenty of praise from Austin Chronicle, Austin-American
Statesman
and Texas Music Magazine.

This was her first
collaboration with Dan Workman, \"Dan contacted me after SXSW 2005 about
doing a project together. I knew that technically and artistically, this would be a
very different experience in recording\"
, commented Walters on her meeting
with Dan Workman.

Workman is a veteran in the Houston music
scene, in addition to co-owning one of the oldest recording studios in US music
history, the legendary SugarHill Recording Studios, Dan is notorious for his
production work, particularly with singer/songwriters such as Winter Wallace
and Sarah Sharp. He is also known for producing Houston acclaimed, indie
brit-rock band Southern Backtones.

\"We mixed strange
techniques with conventional techniques---played lots of casios and made loops with
our voices. We recorded tambourines, playing them while walking all around the
room, then recorded them again, and again, and again, until there were about a
million tambourines. That is one of my favorite memories,\"
added
Walters.

Musicians on the EP included Tyson Sheth on drums,
Austin bassist George Reiff who has worked Kelly Willis, Chris
Robinson
and Charlie Sexton, and all other instruments were played by
Dan Workman and Maggie Walters.

Walters has no plans
for a CD release, but does plan to feature the EP songs on her future album.

Moreover, one of the songs off of the EP, Real Life Cowboy, was recently
featured on CNBC\'s new show American Made and aired May 1st,
2006.
